The Chicago Cubs lost in the bottom of the 8th inning to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday night off of a Chris Getz infield single. Jeff Samardzija tried to barehand a ball that was hit up the middle, in a valiant attempt attempt to end the inning...as has been the practice with the Cubs all year, the ball bounced off of Samardzija's hand, and the Cubs fell behind 3-2.
