E'Twaun Moore grew up a Chicago Bulls fan. It's only natural since the 6-4, 191 pound three (he'll probably fit better at the two at the next level) is from East Chicago, IN.
And there's a strong chance the hometown team could take the local kid. Moore worked out at the Berto Center (Bulls practice facility in Deerfield, IL)
And what feedback did the Bulls give him? "Told me to be myself and try to get as strong as I can," Moore said.
He said the feedback was similar to what he's heard from other franchises, but overall it varies from team to team.
And of course Moore is enjoying this banner season for the Bulls as they progress deeper and deeper in the NBA playoffs.
"Definitely having a great season, this series has certainly been a challenge for them playing against Miami but they've been doing a good job playing as team, and playing great defense," Moore said.
But it isn't exactly the 1990s dynasty days, just yet.
"They don't have the same type of personnel with Jordan and Pippen, but Derrick Rose is a great player," he said.
Working out at the Berto Center, seeing the six championship flags inspired E'Twaun.
"I saw all that memorabilia.. exciting to be in the same place with all that greatness. Definitely gives me motivation."
E'Twaun led the Boilers in scoring in each of his three seasons on campus, the first member of the Boilermakers to do so since Troy Lewis in '86-'88.
Moore has worked out with Houston this year, and met with Miami and Orlando.
So will the Bulls act like Britney Spears and say "gimme gimme more. gimme more?" We'll find out June 23rd.
