R. Kelly was discharged from a Chicago hospital after undergoing emergency throat surgery. The 44-year-old went to see a throat specialist last week.
Soon enough, he wound up in the emergency room at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where doctors drained an abcess on one of his tonsils.
"He left the hospital and is recuperating at home in Chicago," his publicist said. "Still no word on when he'll be able to resume performing."
He is free to resume stiffing mortgage lenders ASAP, however.
