Insular Chicagoans think of Aurora - or even Naperville, for that matter - as just a collection of suburban sprawl subdivisions.

Like Naperville, Aurora is a large city with a historic downtown and sharp dividing lines between parts of town. Naperville divides along North / South lines and Aurora along an East / West axis, following the meandering banks of the Fox River.
