Hot Tuna was born in 1969 during the time between Jefferson Airplane shows when Airplane members Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassidy were in hotel rooms. Their self-titled debut album was a live acoustic affair that opened with this traditional song. They would soon plug in and go electric. Hot Tuna has outlived the Airplane and can still be...and should be...seen on the road today.
