TWO Chances to Participate in a Girls on the Run 5k in Chicagoland this Weekend

Dare I say that spring/summer seems to have finally arrived? (Knock on wood.)

And just in time, too! My favorite event of the year is this weekend: the New Balance Girls on the Run 5k! In Chicagoland, we're lucky to have not one, but two Girls on the Run councils, so I'm certain that one of these races is right near you!

The New Balance Girls on the Run - Chicago 5k presented by McDonald's is this Saturday, June 4, at 9:00 am at Montrose Harbor. About 10,000 runners are expected to celebrate the end of the Girls on the Run season for girls in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, and Will Counties.

The Girls on the Run 5k is a spectacle of Girl Power! The entire morning is full of fun activities. All runners are welcome to participate in GOTR cheers, face painting and tiara decorating, in addition to a great post-race festival that features great food, games and sponsor giveaways!

You can register for the race by clicking the link above, visiting Fleet Feet sports until 8pm today, or at Montrose Harbor tomorrow morning between 7:00 - 8:45. Be sure to allow plenty of extra time!
