The June 2011 Wildcat Lodge newsletter just came out. Here is the content to share with you. I've added a buch of summer vacation photos that were taken last year while fishing out of that lodge.

The kids are getting out of school this month and families are now planning their summer vacations. Yes, gas prices are high but the Boulder Junction area and Wildcat Lodge are not that far away. We are about 350 miles from Chicago, 250 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul or Milwaukee. So on about one tank full of gas, you can arrive at a dream summer vacation destination.

In the Main Lodge, we have a large indoor game room, TV lounge, library and fitness room. Outdoors we have tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, nature trails for hiking, a playground for the little ones and more. Fishing
The walleye fishing opened in May. Bass fishing will continue to be catch and release only until June 17. On Saturday, June 18 the bass may be kept. Our guide, Todd Gessner is here and has been fishing our chain of Big Kitten, Little Kitten and Wildcat Lakes. He's ready to take you fishing for crappies, walleyes or bass on these or other nearby lakes.
Muskie size limit on our Class A Muskie lakes is 34 inches and opens on Saturday, May 28. If you catch a legal muskie at Wildcat, measure it before you release it and tell us about it. Get you name on the bragging board and a Wildcat Muskie Patch.
Call us anytime if you'd like us to help you plan your Wildcat Lodge vacation and to book guide services. If you plan to hire a guide, we suggest that you book one for the first or second day of your fishing vacation so you can learn how the fish are being caught. What you will learn will make your whole week a success. Guide trips can go out after breakfast and you can be back in time for dinner at Wildcat Lodge.
Dining at Wildcat Lodge
Wildcat Lodge offers a Modified American Plan that features comfortable lodging, two meals a day and maid service. Two delicious meals, breakfast and dinner are served in our "Guests Only" lake view dining room. Our kitchen features home style cooking with all-you-can-eat, everything-you-want breakfasts and dinners where you are offered a choice of two entrees plus fresh baked breads and desserts.
Although you may enjoy dining on your own in our fully equipped cabins, why not consider making this a special vacation for you and your family? We will make the beds, do the cooking and wash the dishes.

Third Thursday Theatre
A new movie is shown every third Thursday of the month from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Boulder Junction Community Center. Take the family out for a movie.
Flea Market
Every Tuesday the Boulder Junction Community Center hosts a large outdoor flea market. Bargain hunters wanted.
Free Fishing Seminars
Every Saturday from 7 to 9 PM, Boulder Junction guides offer free fishing seminars on various topics. Contact (715) 385-2400.
Devil's Elbow 5K Sunset Trail Run
June 18 from 7:30 to 10:00 PM at Trout Lake Golf Club. Experience the beauty the Trout Lake District has to offer by running through the course and woodland trails at Trout Lake Golf Club. Visit www.troutlakegolf.com.
Blueberry Patch Daze
June 25 from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Blueberry Patch - 10351 Main Street. Sample some of the blueberry food samples that will include: Blueberry salsa, blueberry lemonade, blueberry mustard, blueberry taffy, blueberry pretzels, blueberry gummi bears and so much more. Bring your children and join Singer and Author Mary Ellen LaPorte, as she hosts a kids sing-a-long and author signing of her latest book. 21st Annual Volunteer Fire Department Chicken BBQ

Star Spangled Jubilee
