The Obama re-election campaign has snapped up Harper Reed - "probably one of the coolest guy ever" and a whip smart Internet strategist - as its chief technology officer, the Tribune reports.
CTA Tattler readers may be familiar with Harper from his work on CTA Bus Tracker, and more recently CTA Alerts.
Harper worked with CTA developers to create the API that allows outside developers to use it for other applications and mashups. Last year he shared an award for that work.
In 2010, Harper, along with with my brother Daniel X. O'Neil, developed ctaalerts.com to aggregate all CTA customer alerts and broadcast them via Twitter and RSS feeds.
