Sarah Reinertsen is a world class athlete, in 2004, she was the  first female amputee to finish the the Ironman World Championships in in Kona, Hawaii. She was born with a condition that caused her left leg to stop growing, that leg deformity is called proximal femoral focal deficiency (PFFD).

That never slowed her down.

In 2009, Sarah was on the cover of ESPN magazine, posing naked for their Body Issue.  Instead of focusing on what she doesn't have, Sarah's, focus has always been on what she does have and how to make the absolute most of it. Check out the video below, grab a tissue first.

She is strong, beautiful, proud and not afraid to share that with the world.  Each and everyone of us has an "issue," with some part our physical being, I'm not saying we all need to run around naked, but we can learn a lot from a woman like Sarah.

Be proud of who you are, short, tall, skinny fat, slow, fast, one leg, two legs, no legs, it doesn't matter, as long as you believe in yourself, you can make anything happen.

Sarah did.

I've never picked up a copy of ESPN magazine, but if you need a little motivation to get out and make things happen, check out some of the shots of Sarah.

Click here to check out Sarah's web site and find out how to get her book.
