I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of the soon to be released British film, "The Trip." Original a six part TV show it's been edited in to a film. Don't let that dissuade you from seeing this. The movie is well paced and a brilliant comedy.
The movie follows Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon on an improvised tour of Northern England. Steve has been asked to go on a trip and review 6 restaurants. His last resort companion is his friend Rob. The interaction between the two is much funnier and real than the male duo in Sideways. The story is about their life and how they're in different places despite being the same age. They each envy one anothers talent's but would never admit it!
The trailer shows some great scenes and you can't help trying out your own impressions by the end of the movie. If you're up to see a story with food as the backdrop, make time to see "The Trip" you won't be sorry. You may ask yourself some hard life questions by the end despite all the laughs along the way.
