Chicago has a lot of "biggest" in it's endurance resume, Biggest Marathon, triathlon, 10K and also biggest Girls on the Run 5K event.
While the others are cool, this means that we as a community are doing more than any other place in the world to help young women understand the importance of positive body image, self respect, goal setting and healthy living. That my friends is something to be proud of.
Watching the sea of pink running gear, tiaras and happy faces run, walk, jog and skip through this 5K course is an amazing experience and one that you don't want to miss. Maybe our "running Mayor" will show up?
