Public Safety Committee Sets Hearing Monday June 6 for New Chicago Police Chief, Organizer Meeting Tuesday May 31 at 7:00 PM !
The newly named Public Safety Committee, headed by Alderman Balcer (11th Ward) which replaces the Police and Fire Committee is convening a meeting to discuss confirmation of Emanuel's police chief selection Garry McCarthy on June 6th at 10:00 am at city hall. The Public Meetings Act requires that any and all members of the public who wish to speak, are entitled. It is imperative that ALL citizens of the city of Chicago, attend this meeting and speak out against this confirmation. Attached is a flyer with some very pertinent information about McCarthy. Don't let this slide! Please attend the regular Task Force meeting on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 @ 7:00 pm-700 East Oakwood/CCICS. We will provide (2) buses for city hall so people will not have to pay to park.
